Osore
A downloadable game for Windows
Osore is a mix of classic shoot 'em up games and modern roguelikes.
Fight your way through the 4 areas of the mind with 3 randomly generated levels each, providing you with a unique adventure every single run. At the end of an area, you need to encounter one challenging & randomly chosen boss out of 3 for each area, varying runs even more.
After you defeat a boss you can buy upgrades with the flames you collected. These upgrades range from an invincible dash to things like a speed boost or simply a higher health capacity.
Besides being able to move, shoot, and dash you can use spells, which are special actions, letting you perform a massive dash across the screen, place a bomb or get a shield, making you entirely invincible.
A full run takes around an hour, which is why it's designed to be quite replayable. To complete the game however you need to uncover the big lore, made out of 60 lore cards all having a tiny story, and unlock the in-game achievements.
Fight your inner fears and repair your corrupted mind.
At one point in your life Sadoz, the lord of fears got in control of you. The more time you gave it the stronger it got and even built a huge army. With your last spells of hope, you need to defeat all of your fears including Sadoz, but on your way, you encounter guardians, which are bigger and more powerful fears.
The game is made by Daniel Münstermann.
The OST is made by Chris Kohler
with some help from Jiro Yoshioka (cello in the main theme).

all the linux and mac users just use Wine the game works fine under Wine
the game is beautiful, the art and polish just make it feel and play so professional awesome work and good luck on future projects
Game feels a bit sluggish, I feel like everything in general should move faster. And because of this sluggish nature, losing at a boss doesn't make you want to try again, it makes you want to quit. I wish you could rebind keys.
Definitely worth the wait, the game looks and feels so much polished than ever before. It does start off a bit slow, but the fun never ends in this one. Wish you luck for your future ahead!
maybe in the next levels game will be more fun, but start so boring and slow...
that's an really amazing game dude.
Proud of you, buddy, its amazing
amazing
amazing
Overall this is a unique, creative game. Well done!
I am trying to play the game on my 2020 Macbook Pro (MacOS Monterey). I've downloaded the file, unzipped it, yet when I try and play the game, MacOS tells me Application "Osore" cannot be opened. Annoying part is that it does not tell me any error messages.
I was really hoping to be able to play the game, it looks really cool
I have the same problem, it just won't open
Hey there, I wasn’t aware of mac being a lot more special, but sadly I can’t create a functional build from my devices (I only got windows over here). So sad to tell you that it won’t be available over on mac :(.
it works if you use it from the itch.io app
On macOs?

there are tools like Wine which lets you convert .exe files into .app files if you are willing to spare the effort.
I found out, that users can make it work by opening their terminal and typing in
chmod -R 777 [pathtofile].app
Nice
